I usually pass two or three parks on the way to work. I saw signs up at Northfield & Veteran’s parks that announced free lunches for kids. I saw them last year and wondered if it was some church group. This was on the KTVB website this morning. It’s the Idaho Foodbank.

Heather just called and said my picture is splashed on the front page of the newspaper. Of course, there’s a bit about Diane’s ’shout out’ to Gonzales’ rep. More prominent is the woman who was standing next to me. She was r-o-w-d-y!

Diane’s response:

Boisean Diane Roberts, a member of the Idaho Peace Coalition who led the protesters in the songs and chants, had a more colorful response. What she called Gonzales can’t be printed in the newspaper.

“Just put ‘chicken’ and the four little dots,” she said. “Everybody in Idaho will know what I meant, believe me.”

Yep….that’s Diane. Of course, it doesn’t mention that I just happened to yell the same thing so the young man obviously heard it in stereo.

There’s also a couple of blips from KTVB about the protest.

[Update] From Fort Boise.

Today the AG of the U.S. came to town. Here’s some news about it.

1. From Tom von Alten at Fort Boise. He has a couple of stories up.

2. Jim Hansen’s United for Idaho. Great comments there, BTW.

3. This is the best roundup of links at The Idaho Democratic Party had boo-coo links to stories!

4. Julie at Red State Rebel has a diary at daily Kos. I’m not a Kos fan; however Julie keeps on top of things democratic here.

[Update: 6/28/2006.... Think Progress had a blip as well.
